Fibre Jointing Materials

PRP for years has been at the forefront of providing a complete set of sealing solutions for gasket industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, water and sewage. As well as its expertise in rubber solutions, PRP also stocks a comprehensive range of gasket materials such as compressed non asbestos fibre, graphite, PTFE (Teflon) and our metallic and semi-metallic range.

Our Novus compressed non asbestos fibre range is available in a variety of different compounds catering for specific requirements. Spanning from rubber binders (such as neoprene, natural and nitrile), to carbon fibre and graphite, the Novus fibre range suits temperatures up to 450 degrees Celsius and provides resistance to a vast range of chemicals and inhibitors. Graphite material contains up to 98% typical carbon content and aids in resistance for even higher temperatures, whilst the PTFE Uniflon range conforms to FDA21 CFR 177.1550, suitable for food grade applications where safety is paramount.

Description

Premium quality carbon fibre reinforced material, with a high quality Nitrile rubber binder.

Service

A universal grade especially suitable for use under alkaline conditions, with good steam resistance. It also possesses excellent creep resistance and is suitable for use with oils, fuels and refrigerants.
